By the 1920's when he was in his 60s', Adsha人名has assembled a unique typology of all Paris, consisting of more than 10000 images.
This picture is probably one of my favourite pictures of Adsha人名,because of the construction,of the image,very..uh,almost do my trick, almost abstract, and there are few of very small persons in the windows,and..but he took the picture, one of the reasons is,because this place was going to be destroyed, and if not often that he write things like that on the back of his pictures. But here it's written"*",it's going to disappear.
Like August Sander, Adsha人名was a creature of 19 century, his equipment and technics, already old fashioned when it begun, has become positively archaic by the 1920's. Alexander Rodchenko would not have been impressed.
He was still making albumin prints, which you could print out in the sunshine not in a dark room, the albumin prints came in 1851,and he was still using them in the 1920's,I mean this is absurd, Verystip 人名did try to get Adsha to use modern materials, because they said it would last better. And he said I don't know how to do that.
He may have been behind the times, but Adsha was still a commercial photographer, upset his studio and partners, has signed offered documents for artists, reference material for illustration of cartoons. But however modest of their intended purposes , Adsha document achieve something far greater.
He **ed tuervai人名, the maker of documents, was an accurate description of the thing he did,he produced a document,a photograph is document,it's the first gathering of basic data on the plane that everybody could look at it and see the same objective. But *'s documents were much more personal, Adsha人名 to me is our immortal, he is the single greatest artist of photography, that's a cleaner definition for me, he stands heads and shoulders above everybody else.
